Our purpose on earth may be attaining the elimination of all unnecessary suffering. Far too many individuals–endowed entitled privileged–are usually screaming about how bad we all have it — either that or scheming how to make it worse… on their own behalf, of course! Then there are those too far gone to affect any improvement for themselves or anyone else. They’re the ones who need the most help. Our assistance in kind.

Our assistance… for which we will be richly rewarded when the work is underway. Right here on this planet; not in some fantasy heaven out among the stars… wherever that might be. For I believe there is an obvious mission-on-hand for the human race and the planet on which it exists. What in ancient India Hindu Sanskrit referred to as Upanishad or Vedanta. Applying to the connection between the human individual and the eternal, albeit seemingly elusive, cosmology of Universal Totality. Presumably, a non-worrisome, very satisfying place to be.

The impotence, worry and guilt from knowing so many in the world are doing without–without proper food, shelter, healthcare, education, etc.–weighs heavy on, that is, burdens the mind and soul of man/woman. Thus, making True Enlightenment out of reach and impossible. All these “obstacles” make Nirvana unfathomable, leaving many of us to toil in disheartening jobs in order to obtain superficial materialism in empty shallow cycles of self-overindulgence and false impression-management.

My theory is that when the obstacles are removed; when the burden is finally lifted entire–then the worries about phony-impression status-seeking will be over. The immediate gratification of, ultimately, unsatisfying bonuses made from concrete-steel-glass-rubber-plastic will be seen for what they really are: mere substitutes for purpose and a meaningful existence. When that time arrives, we will be surprised, overtaken by the prospect of Living in Paradise — here on Earth!
